Overflow Langtree’s newest addition!

Overflow may be one of the coolest new openings that I’ve seen in quite a while. Overflow is Lake Norman’s First self pour establishment serving beer, wine, cider, hard seltzers, and coffee. (If that’s not enough for you they have a liquor license too). They opened a week or two ago and the response has been huge. The selection is extensive and I love that you can pour as little as one ounce so it’s easy to sample everything they have to offer.

The 3000 SqFt ROOFTOP BAR will be opening soon as well. This place is worth paying a visit to. You won’t be disappointed.

Fun Facts…Maybe?

Consumer debt, including credit cards, rose to an all-time high for the 118 million US households among the bottom 90%. The group’s debt soared by $300 billion over the last year — the largest annual gain on record. No longer any need to ask where all the help is. Looks like they’re probably living on credit cards?

Lumber prices have fallen to their lowest level in more than two years bringing two-by-fours back to what they cost before the pandemic building boom and pointing to a sharp slowdown in construction.

Approximately 64,000 home purchase contracts were cancelled in August, about 15.2% of all homes in contract last month. The highest cancellation rates were found in “pandemic boomtowns” located in Sun Belt states. All 10 cities with a back-out rate of 20% or higher were located in the region. Jacksonville, Florida, outpaced all other cities with 26.1% of pending sales dropping out of contract in August. Las Vegas, NV, ranked at 23%, followed by Atlanta at 22.6%, Orlando at 21.9% and Fort Lauderdale at 21.7%. Lake Norman has not seen this trend. Hopefully we will not!
