I learned of Mark Gibson through a referral last year while helping another good friend shop for a home. She had been trying for some time to find a home between $400,000 and $500,000 and was completely frustrated. I suggested that she reach out to Mark to see if he could help her. After a quick conversation, he immediately found several homes that perfectly fit her needs, and within a week, she was under contract. The entire process was smooth and so incredibly easy. I was quite impressed with how Mark helped my friend, so I decided to hire him to help sell my own home.
The home that I intended to sell was located in Mooresville in the Point and valued well over $4,000,000. I have bought and sold numerous homes over the years with countless realtors, and never have I ever experienced the level of service with any of them that I received from Mark and his team. I really don’t know where to begin or how to convey how much I appreciate what Mark was able to do for us and the way he treated us throughout the entire journey. Mark demonstrated the highest level of problem-solving, professionalism, and integrity. He thinks way outside of the box. He spared no expense when it came to marketing the house. He knew exactly what to do to get the house sold, and he did it.
Prior to listing the home, we had to make a repair to an 18-foot collapsible door that was inoperable and unable to be opened due to a builder error. No one could find a solution, and estimates for replacing the doors were ranging between $30,000 and $50,000. Mark figured out how to fix the door within an hour and spent an afternoon with two helpers fixing the door himself for less than $800. Show me another realtor willing to do that, much less one with the knowledge to know how to do it!
This was the first real estate transaction that I have ever experienced where I felt completely at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process. Our sale and circumstance were complex, to say the least, and I had complete peace of mind the entire time. Selling a home can be incredibly stressful, and it certainly was for our personal situation, but Mark went above and beyond to create a supportive and positive atmosphere, despite many obstacles in his way. Mark has exceptional communication skills. He was always prompt in responding to my questions and kept us well-informed at every stage of the process. He was empathetic and patient. I had a great experience with Mark. I engaged him to sell my mom's home in the Lake Norman area after she passed away unexpectedly, which I had to handle entirely from out of state. Mark was thoughtful, communicative, and detailed, handling everything for me and making the process as smooth as possible. He was upfront with me about potential concerns, including a new development planned near the property, and realistic about our options. When offers came in, he handled negotiations quickly, but also put in the effort to make sure I got the best deal possible, even when he knew I would have been willing to settle for less. Others, like ours, are more complex and challenging. Mark and his team are good people. And THAT is what sets them apart. Anyone can sell your house. But my review of Mark and his team comes from a place of gratitude for the fact that he (and Roxy) knew our situation was a difficult one, and they helped navigate us through it. The end result was SUCCESS! Mark was our buyer's agent on a home we purchased based only on photo's we saw online (we live in NY) and he could not have been more helpful. He helped negotiate purchase price and was our guide throughout the inspection and closing process which we could not be there for. Mark was always available by phone, email and text.
