As you can see, sales in June were basically the same as a year ago. So why do some feel that sales are slowing? One word: inventory. The number of available homes in Mooresville was 41% higher than that of one year ago. When buyers have more homes to choose from, naturally, the homes that are for sale will sit on the market a little longer. Keep in mind that in a normal market, the average days on market is about 60 days. We’re still at 31 in the Charlotte Region. Is the market correcting itself? Yes, and it needs to, but our local market is still incredibly strong.
