In line with the long term goal to bring more tech type business to the Langtree region, town’s leaders recently endorsed a rezoning decision, facilitating the development of a cutting-edge manufacturing center
In January, the town council ratified a request from the planning department to reclassify 87 acres near the present Corvid Technologies facility along Transco Road and Langtree Campus Drive to Hybrid Light Industrial. The rezoning paves the way for Corvid Technology to construct a tech campus which will include 200,000-square-foot factory primarily aimed at producing defense-related products.
The estimated $30 million investment in the new campus will include a total of approximately 400 jobs, both existing and new positions, with more to be added in the future and will be a nice addition to this area of Langtree that has sat as vacant land for so many years. Hopefully this will stimulate more business growth as well. It will be nice to see something other than apartments being built for a change!
