The single biggest expense that many of us will face when raising our kids is College. I took my daughter (3rd) on her first college tour last week to UNC Charlotte. (It’s incredible by the way). By the time she goes to school a four year education could easily exceed $100,000.
Here’s a thought for all you new parents.
When your kids are small buy an investment property. Doesn’t even have to be much. Let someone else pay for it for 15-18 years and then sell it when its time for college. Tuition will be paid for several times over. Better yet, sell it and buy another property in the town where they go to school and save on housing.
